About the designer
The heart behind Heritage & Heart.
Kari Townsend
Founder & Designer
As a wife, mother of four, and military spouse, I desire to create a comfortable and peaceful home for my family. Every move brings us to a new and unfamiliar place; however, home has become a consistent space for familiar things. A new house also gives me a blank palette to blend the familiar with new design concepts according to the uniqueness of each new space.
Through the challenge of frequent moves and reestablishing a home, I have found joy in creating homes that combine both a feeling of warmth and functionality where a family can thrive together.
I am also passionate about creating a home that feels welcoming, whether it is entertaining friends, inviting over neighbors, or hosting visiting family. Hospitality is important to me, and I want it to be felt in my home and business.
With a background in teaching, I hope to share new creative ideas with my clients to inspire them to design their home with purpose and beauty.
